Do people in your organisation make poor decisions?
How much money is your organisation losing each day because of bad decisions?
How much would you save if everyone made better decisions?
Good decision making is critical for all organisations. Unfortunately the nature of decision making is not generally well understood by the individuals making the decisions.
This one day interactive workshop explores the nature of human decision making. It brings together well established information from a variety of different disciplines in a practical way so that delegates can fully understand their own decision making behaviour. It then builds on this understanding to introduce and develop practical techniques to improve the individual's decision making. Delegates will not only leave the workshop with new ideas but also with a pack of practical output that can be deployed in their own organisation the very next day.
Delegates will learn how:
Our built in human biases influence their decision making
We incorrectly perceive risk and reward
We establish patterns in our 'normal' decision making processes
We get fooled by randomness
We incorrectly interpret information
and will use this learning to:
Understand potential flaws in their existing decision making
Apply the techniques that are introduced during the workshop
Develop their own approaches
Embed all this knowledge in their day to day decision making
style
A 1-day facilitated workshop with a mix of discussion and practical work that will provide delegates with the opportunity to practice the lessons learnt.
Key Feature: After the workshop delegates will be able to join a private on-line discussion blog specifically set up for their group. Using this myself and delegates can share their experiences after the workshop enabling them to further embed what they have learnt and create an ongoing learning experience.
